The West Bengal BJP women's wing today took out a rally in the city protesting against the outbreak of dengue in the state and accused the state government of "not being" serious in tackling the crisis.
The toll in the vector borne disease in the state since January this year is 36, while more than 20,000 people have tested positive for the vector-borne disease, according to a senior health department official.
The rally at south Kolkata's Hazra More near Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's residence was led by BJP state Mahila Morcha president Locket Chatterjee, who demanded that the state government should take steps on an emergency basis to deal with the crisis.
