Leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the rally featuring Narendra Modi, the party's prime ministerial candidate, gets a good response, Delhi BJP today tried to woo the members of the Muslim community, requesting them to attend the public meeting in large numbers.
BJP state unit leaders met the religious leaders of the minority community today and sought their support for Sunday's rally.
Later, the BJP leaders claimed that the Muslim community had extended its support to Modi and would attend the rally in large numbers.

BJP leaders had initially wanted to conduct a meeting with the minority community members at Turkman Gate, but were denied permission by Delhi Police.
With General Elections coming up next year, the party has been busy wooing the Muslim community.
Opposition parties have, meanwhile, alleged that in order to show that the Muslim community supported Modi, the party had asked them to attend rallies in Jaipur and Bhopal wearing burqas and skullcaps.
Talking about the rally, Vijay Malhotra, leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, said that diplomats of over 40 nations had given their consent to attend the rally.
He also added that preparations for the rally were in its final stages and a 40x80ft stage was being erected at the venue at Japanese Garden at Rohini.
