BJP worker's kin rescued from Nepal

Two relatives of a BJP worker, who were stranded in quake-hit Nepal, have reached here today after being rescued by IAF.

BJP president of city unit Surendra Maithani today said, party worker Ramesh Kotwani had approached him on Saturday seeking help to rescue his father Dharmdas Kotwani and son Rajesh Kotwani who had gone to Kathmandu to attend a wedding.

Ramesh told Maithani that the two could not be contacted after the earthquake.

Maithani informed Kanpur MP Murli Manohar Joshi about the stranded duo, who in turned contacted External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

Maithani said yesterday he recieved information that the two have been located and that they were being brought to Delhi by a special flight.
 

Dharmdas and Rajesh Kotwani reached here safely today after reaching Delhi at 1.30 last night, he said, adding, they thanked the Indian government and the BJP for their efforts.
