BJP workers lathicharged

Police resorted to mild lathi charge to disperse some BJP workers who were attempting to ransack the office of Aam Aadmi Party in Gandhipuram here, as a sequel to the incident in front of Delhi BJP office.

Based on an intelligent report that some 100 BJP workers were moving towards the AAP office, located at Gandhipuram from Shivananda Colony, a posse of police rushed to the area and prevented the workers, police said.

When they started resisting and tried to break the cordon, police used lathi to disperse them. Some 15 BJP workers were secured and taken to police station, they said. Meanwhile, police are keeping vigil near the AAP office.
