Delhi unit of BJP's youth wing today observed Martyrs' Day in the memory of late freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, with party leaders paying tributes to the trio.

Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay, MP Ramesh Bidhuri and national secretary Sardar RP Singh were amongst those who offered floral tributes to the freedom fighters at an event organized at Select City Mall in Saket. Office-bearers and functionaries attached to the youth wing were also present during the event.

"Bhagat Singh's sacrifice made for the country inspires youth even after 84 years. This shows if we sacrifice ourselves for the nation, then we get due respect from our countrymen," Upadhyay said, promising to take efforts to develop a new centre in South Delhi in the honor of martyrs.

During the programme, Delhi Sahitya Kala Academy's Fusion Band and another formed by BJP workers played patriotic songs. Playback singer Shankar Sahani also rendered patriotic songs during the event.
