The activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will take part in the state's anti-drug campaign which will be launched soon, said Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Saturday.
Addressing the state BJYM executive committee's two-day meeting at Sundernagar in Mandi district, the CM said, "The BJYM activists will be involved in the anti-drug campaign, so that the evil of drugs is banished and thousands of youths can be saved."
On this occasion, Thakur appealed to the BJYM activists to work hard so that the party could repeat its 2014 feat when it won all four Parliamentary seats in the state.
The CM said the BJYM's maxim of 'one booth, ten youths' had been changed to 'one booth, 20 youths' and appealed to the activists to strengthen the BJYM so as to achieve the BJP's goal. The BJP in Himachal is in power due to well organised functioning of BJYM, he added.
BJYM state president Vishal Chunhan and Sundernagar MLA Rakesh Jamwal also spoke on the occasion.
