Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha president Poonam Mahajan today launched a drive to reach out to first-times voters.

The exercise comes following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to the BJP to connect with those born in this millennium as they would get voting rights from this year.

According to a statement, the BJP youth wing chief said the drive will focus on the new voters. The national voters' day falls today.

Mahajan said the BJYM would take to various media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp and Instagram to connect with these voters.

Special graphics and slides were put out on social media to attract youths and urge them to enroll themselves in voters' list.

Special drives would be carried out outside markets, colleges, universities and shopping malls to enrol young voters, the statement said.
