"The UPA-II has completed three years in office during which the country has witnessed massive price rise and high inflation, besides corruption in all levels of the government," BJYM state president Mriganka Barman said.

Hundreds of BJYM members marched through the streets of Guwahati and held a dharna near the deputy commissioner's office and threatened to spread their agitation to all district headquarters.
In Assam, the first phase of agitation covered Guwahati during the day. In the next phase to be held between June 10 to June 16 similar agitations would be held in all district headquarters, he added.
