: With the BJP aiming to increase its strength in the December 7 Telangana assembly elections, the party's youth wing BJYM would organise its two day national conference here from October 27.
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) chief and MP Poonam Mahajan performed the 'Bhumi Puja' for the event, along with party MP Bandaru Dattatreya, BJP General Secretary P Muralidhar Rao and MLC N Ramachander Rao at Parade Grounds here, the venue, Wednesday.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh would inaugurate the event, to be attended by delegates from different parts of the country, on October 27.
BJP Chief Amit Shah will address a massive public meeting on October 28, the concluding day of the event, Ramachander Rao told PTI.
About two lakh people are expected to participate in the public meeting.
"The meeting will definitely have its impact on Telangana elections," Ramachander Rao claimed.

Several national leaders, including Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, are also expected to attend the convention, Dattatreya told reporters after the 'Bhumi Puja'.
About events and programmes planned for the summit, Mahajan had said Tuesday that the exercise was aimed to prepare party's youth workers for the 2019 general elections and a political resolution would be passed during the event.
BJP, which is positioning itself as the alternative to the ruling TRS in Telangana, is going it alone in the polls.
Shah had kicked off the party's election campaign at Mahabubnagar last month and addressed another campaign meeting at Karimnagar earlier this month.
BJP has also been organising assembly constituency-level booth workers meetings in the state.
