The activists of the farmer's wing have laid siege to the Dasna toll plaza yesterday and started an indefinite strike, leading to chaos and disorder in the area, they said.
Meanwhile, Project Director of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) said that freezing the toll collection on Dasna toll barrier leads to a loss of Rs 3.87 lakh daily to the government body.
However, more than 21,000 vehicles ply on Dasna toll plaza daily, many of which manage without paying toll, Gupta said.
