Maharashtra BJP chief Raosaheb Danve today said hoarders of black money are opposing demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes.
"Hoarders of black money are opposing demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes," Danve said at a programme here in presence of Maharashtra Minister Babanrao Lonikar.
The state BJP chief said his party has achieved success in civic polls in Maharashtra and this showed that people supported demonetisation.
The ruling BJP has emerged as the net gainer in the first two rounds of civic polls across Maharashtra as it made inroads into semi-urban and rural areas, giving leverage to the party to counter the opposition onslaught over the demonetisation.
