Meanwhile, copra market remained closed today on account of 'Eid-e-Milad'.
Black pepper spurted by Rs 8/15 per kg to Rs 438/475 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 430/460 and ginger unbleached gained by Rs 5 per to Rs 160 from Rs 155.
