Black pepper, select copra slip on lower offtake

Prices of select copra and black pepper slipped at the spices market here today due to lower offtake from stockists and retailers.

All other spices ruled steady in the absence of any major buying activity.

Black pepper moved down by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 730/795 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 735/800.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai declined by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 16,500 as against Rs 16,700 yesterday.

Copra edible Mumbai dipped by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,800 as compared to Rs 8,900 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 730/795 (735/800), ginger bleached (per kg) 210 (210), ginger unbleached (per kg) 230 (230), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 7,300 (7,300), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 7,200 (7,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 16,500 (16,700), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 8,800 (8,900).
