Black pepper slips in listless trade

Black pepper slipped in an otherwise listless spices market here today on lower demand from stockists and exporters.

While, rest of all spices ruled stable owing to absence of large-scale buying support.

Black pepper declined by Rs 5/10 per kg to Rs 670/750 from Last Thursday's close Rs 675/760.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 670/750 (675/760), ginger bleached (per kg) 140 (140), ginger unbleached (per kg) 160 (160), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,700 (6,700), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,600 (6,600), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,700 (9,700), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 8,500 (8,500).
