Blistering heat continues in Raj, light rains in some areas

Most places of Rajasthan continued to sizzle even as some areas witnessed dust storms and light rain.

Sriganganagar was the hottest place in the state recording a high of 45.5 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature in Kota was 45.1 degrees Celsius, followed by 45 degrees Celsius in Churu, 44.6 degrees Celsius in Bikaner, 43.7 degrees Celsius in Jaipur, 43.5 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer, 43.2 degrees Celsius in Barmer, 43 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur, 42.7 degrees Celsius in Ajmer and 40.9 degrees Celsius in Dabok.

Jaipur, Churu and Sriganganagar received light rains till this morning.

The weatherman has predicted dust storm and thunderstorm accompanied by rain at isolated places in the state tomorrow.
