A block head was shot dead allegedly
by an unidentified person in Basti district, police sources said here today.
Shiv Kumar, block head of Rudhauli, was shot dead last night when he was returning back home in his village Nipnia after watching an IPL match at a friend's house in nearby town, they said.
Police said an FIR has been lodged and efforts were on to nab the assailant.
