The vigilance department today arrested a block supply officer (BSO) on graft charge from Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, an official release said.
Acting on a complaint by one Arun Kumar Rai, a native of Senia village within the limits of Gaighat police station area, a Vigilance Investigation Bureau team led by DSP Suwash Sah raided BSO Narayan Das's private office being run from a rented house and nabbed while he was taking took Rs 10,000 as bribe from Rai, the release said.
The tainted BSO had demanded Rs 25,000 in bribe for removal and transfer of certain units and cards from one PDS shop to another and had agreed to do the work for Rs 10,000, it said.
Das will be produced at a designated vigilance court at Muzaffarpur soon, the release added.
