Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today stressed on the need for organising more blood donation camps to dispel misconceptions associated with it and more people could be encouraged to donate blood.
Inaugurating a blood donation camp here, organised on the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, he said, donating blood is the "biggest donation" a person can make, as it can save a life.
"Irrespective of a person's religion, caste and creed or whether he or she is rich or poor. Blood of all people is similar and there is no discrimination," Naik said.
