Blue Dart shares down over 4 pc as Q2 net declines

Shares of logistics company Blue Dart Express fell by over 4 per cent today after it reported a 20.68 per cent decline in net profit for the quarter ended September.

The scrip declined by 4.23 per cent to end at Rs 5,333.65 on BSE. During the day, it lost 4.45 per cent to Rs 5,321.

At NSE, shares of the company went down by 4.13 per cent to close at Rs 5,332.95.

Blue Dart Express yesterday reported a 20.68 per cent decline in its net profit to Rs 42.80 crore for the quarter ended September.

It had clocked a net profit of Rs 53.96 crore during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
 

Total income from operations grew to Rs 663.22 crore during the quarter as against Rs 653.05 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's total expenses stood at Rs 599.31 crore as against Rs 570.58 crore earlier.
