The 26-year-old leader, who has been actively pitching the idea of reviving Mumbai's nightlife, on the occasion batted for his proposal to seek operation of commercial establishments round the clock.
Notably, he had met chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in this regard in the past and other stakeholders as well.
"To revive the night life, I have not kept pubs and bars into my agenda, because I know it would lead to a lots of opposition. I am pitching for a vibrant nightlife in India's commercial capital," he said.
He asked why can't shopping malls, restaurants, theatres, gyms, shops, eating joints along with chemists and convenience stores be opened 24X7.
On the occasion, president of National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI) Riyaaz Amlani said 67 per cent of the people involved in food and nightlife business are unorganised.
Putting forward a 10-point agenda for the government, Amlani said, the government should create restaurant-based tourism hub, leverage beaches and coastlines, allow the terrace and open space for food services, ease of doing business, reduce the permissible age for drinking, extend operational hours on weekends among others.
In the two-day INCA event, stakeholders from the bar and the nightlife industry will deliberate on ideas to boost the industry.
