The license of the boat which capsized while taking officials and media personnel to the site of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's memorial off Mumbai coast has been suspended, the Maharashtra government said Thursday.
Minister of State for Ports Ravindra Chavan also told the Legislative Council that police are investigating the case.
One person died in the mishap which took place last month when the work of the memorial was to be inaugurated.
"A three-member committee headed by shipping adviser has completed its probe. The report will be submitted to the government in the next 10 to 15 days. After that action will be taken against those responsible," Chavan said.
Sena legislators Anil Parab, Neelam Gorhe and PWP's Balram Patil had raised the issue.
