Boat seized by BSF from Ravi river in Gurdaspur

A small boat was seized by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel from Ravi river in Dorangla area here, the Punjab police said today.

Five-feet-long and about two feet in width, the plywood boat was recovered by the BSF yesterday, the police said.

The police, however, said that it did not seem that there had been an infiltration attempt.

Nothing suspicious was found on the boat, a police official said.

Security personnel in Gurdaspur and Pathankot maintain a high level of vigilance to thwart any attempt by anti-social elements.

Dinanagar in Gurdaspur and the Pathankot Airforce base station had witnessed terror attacks in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
