The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams today fished out five bodies from the Ganga, two days after nine persons had gone missing when a boat had capsized in the river in Bhojpur district, official sources said.
The NDRF teams recovered the five bodies floating in the river near Maujampur village, about eight km from Kewatia village where the boat, carrying 26 persons, had capsized.
Two of the bodies have been identified as those of Lilawati Devi (40) and Rekha Kumari (10), the sources said, adding efforts were on to identify the other bodies.

Of the 26 persons on board the boat, 17 had swam to safety.
