Bodies of boy, uncle found

The police today found the bodies of a 8-year-old boy and his paternal uncle, from under the ground at Jota village under Rajnagar police station in Seraikela-Kharswan district, police said.

Acting on a tip-off that the boy, identified as Prakash Soren, was murdered on August 9 allegedly by his uncle Bhaktu Soren who was lynched by villagers after finding the boy's body, the police raided the village.

Though the villagers were tight-lipped, the police managed to find out the spots under which the bodies were buried to hide evidence.

They bodies were then exhumed in presence of a magistrate, the police said.
 

The reason behind the killing of the boy was not yet established.

Two FIR has been registered in this regard, police added.
