Bodies of ten victims, mostly construction workers hailing from Malda district of West Bengal, who died in Thane's seven-storey building collapse will be flown back here today.

State tourism minister and local MLA Krishnendu Narayan Choudhury said the bodies in coffin will be flown to the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose international airport here before being taken by road to their native places.

The Delhi resident commissioner had completed the formalities of getting the bodies flown back, Choudhury said.

The bodies of the victims, all of whom belong to the Kaliachowk second block of the district, will be subsequently handed over to their relatives.

Meanwhile, the minister who visited the families of the victims assured them of all help in handing over the bodies.
