Bodies of three members of a same family were fished out today from the Kanke dam in the city, four days after a woman and her four daughters jumped in the dam.

The deceased have been identified as Rita Devi (35) and her two daughters, Sneha Rani (13) and Anjali Kumari (10), police said.

The bodies of the women's eight-year-old twin daughters, Ridhi and Sidhi, had been recovered on Sunday after all of them jumped in the dam the previous day.

Police claimed that the woman, a resident of Laxmi Nagar area in the city, took the extreme step after she had a verbal duel over a monetary dispute with her husband Sanjay Kumar.

When Kumar went to the police station to register a missing report on Sunday, the police showed him the two bodies, which he identified as his daughters.
