A woman and her 23-year-old son were found dead in their house in Udhampur district here, with the police suspecting that they both committed suicide.
The incident came to light yesterday. Shakti Devi (45) was found dead in one room and the body of her elder son Rahul was found hanging in another, the police said.
It is suspected that the woman consumed poisonous substance, they said.
The woman's younger son found them dead when he reached home with some relatives, they said.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and a case has been registered, the police said.
