Body found on railway track near Ambala Cantt station

The body of a man, who went missing yesterday, was found today with multiple injuries on railway tracks near Ambala Cantt railway station, railway police said.

The body, found on the Ambala-Saharanpur rail section, has marks of injuries from sharp weapons, Sheetal Singh, DSP, Railway Police, said.

The deceased, identified as Balak Nath, was a resident of Yamunanagar and was working at a shop in Ambala Cantt. He was a daily commuter from Yamunanagar, the DSP said.

Nath came to Ambala last morning, but did not return until late last evening after which his family started looking for him, Singh said.
 

After reaching Ambala Cantt, they came to know that a body was found on the railway track. The family confirmed the identified.

A case has been registered and the matter was being investigated, Singh said.
