The body of an ambulance driver was found with multiple stab wounds here, police said today.
The body was found lying in a crop-field on Bithoor road near Ganga barrage last evening and the identification was made on the basis of an identity card recovered from the body, they said.
The driver Harilal (47), who worked at the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), was a resident of FM colony in Civil Lines area of the city, police said.

He had left home at 6.30 PM yesterday but did not return till late night and he did not have any enmity with anyone, the victim's family said.
Post-mortem report suggests that the body was brutally stabbed, police said, adding that further probe is on in the case, they added.
