Body of DTC employee found in field, murder suspected

In a suspected case of murder, the body of a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) employee was found in a field at Bawana area, police said today.

Krishna Kumar (58), was an assistant ticket inspector in DTC. Yesterday at around 8 PM he left his house at Nangal Thakran village to irrigate his field, they said.

His body was found lying in a pool of blood in the field later that night, a police officer said.

The body has been sent for postmortem and a case under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the IPC has been registered against unknown persons, police said.
 

Locals and family members are being questioned to know whether Kumar had enmity with anyone which could have led to the incident, they said.
