The body of a man, suspected to have died of heat stroke, was found on a pavement in Gole Market area here this morning.
According to police, the body was spotted near the Lal Bahadur Sadan close to the popular market.
The deceased person is aged between 30-35 years. The police recovered from his pocket a doctor's prescription issued to one Kishore, but it could not be verified whether the deceased was actually him.

"It is suspected that the man died of heat stroke. The exact cause of death can be ascertained only from the postmortem report," a police official said.
The body will be sent for postmortem after 72 hours or on identification, whichever is earlier, the police official said, adding, an inquest under Section 174 CrPC has been initiated into the matter.
Rickshaw-pullers and other pavement dwellers in the area were questioned in this regard. From preliminary investigation, it appears that the deceased was homeless. None of the other pavement dwellers knew him, the official said.
A senior district administration official said a report from police is awaited. No conclusion can be drawn at this stage.
