The body of a 62 year-old man was Tuesday found dumped by a road near some fields in Narela of Rohini district, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Raghunath Mandal, a resident of Samaypur Badli, they said.
A passerby who spotted the body informed police about it around 7 am, police said.
On reaching the spot, police said, they found a body of a man dumped on a roadside near an isolated area in Narela, a senior police officer said.
A bullet injury was visible on the chest, the officer said.

A case was registered and the matter was being probed, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rajneesh Gupta said.
Police is probing all angles, including that of a personal enmity, the officer said.
"The body was dumped in an isolated area near the fields. There are no CCTV camera's in these spots. Prima facie it appears to be a case of personal enmity.
However, investigation is in progress to ascertain the exact sequence of event, a senior police officer said.
The officer said Mandal used to live with his nephew in Samaypur Badli and was a dealer in plastic products.
Mandal belonged to a village in Madhubani district of Bihar, police said, adding that the family of the deceased have been informed about the incident.
The body will be sent for post-mortem on Wednesday, the senior officer added.
