Body of man, who was missing since Sunday, was today found in a water tank in his relative's house next door in south west Delhi's Dwarka Sector 1, police said.
Shiv Shankar Chaurasia (43), who lived with his wife and two sons in Mahavir Vihar of Dwarka Sector 1, was missing since Sunday evening, a police officer said.
His body was found in the water tank of the house of his relative next door around 11 AM. A police team reached the spot and retrieved the body from the tank and sent it for postmortem, he said.
A forensic team visited the spot to gather evidences. Prima facie it appeared that Chaurasia was given some poisonous substance and then stuffed in the tank, he said.
Police have registered a case of murder and investigation has been taken up.
Further investigation is on and family members are being questioned for leads, he added.
