The body of a police officer was found today under mysterious circumstances in the Khelmati outpost in Lakhimpur district.
According to Lakhimpur SP Brajenjit Singha, the body of officer Babul Bora was found from his quarter at the outpost with bullet injuries from his 9 mm service revolver on his head.
Bora was on duty last night at Lilabari Airport for the Prime Minister's visit to Arunachal Pradesh and came to his room this morning inside the outpost complex under North Lakhimpur police station.
He was survived by his wife and two daughters.
