Body of a 12-year-old boy was found this morning hanging from a tree inside the school premises where he was studying in Labhpur of Birbhum district.
Aniket Bagdi, a student of Class VI was found hanging from a rope tied around his necks from a tree inside Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Labhpur's Gopalpur area in Birbhum district today morning, Birbhum SP N Sudheer Kumar told PTI when contacted.
"Nobody has been detained nor arrested in this regard. The parents nor the school authorities have submitted any complaint with us. We have started an investigation in this matter," Kumar said.
Though the death apparently appeared to be a case of suicide, the police is waiting for the post mortem report to ascertain the exact cause of the death, he said.
