Body of unidentified man found in drain in northeast Delhi

The body of an unidentified man was today found in a drain in northeast Delhi's Welcome colony, the police said.

The body is yet to be identified, they said.

The body of a man, aged between 25 and 30 years, was found in a plastic bag during a cleaning work, the police said.

"Some people were cleaning the drain when they spotted a bag floating in the drain. They then informed the police," a senior police officer said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Ajit Kumar Singla said they have registered a case of murder and have launched a probe in the matter.
 

Police also said that some parts of the body were missing.
