Body of an unidentified woman was today recovered on the roadside of DLF colony near Bhopura in Sahibabad area here, police said.
Police reached the spot upon receiving information and recovered the body from the location, Station House Officer of Sahibabad police station, Haridayal Singh Yadav said.
Identity of the woman, aged around 30 years, could not be established, he said, adding no injury marks were visible on the corpse.
Body has been sent for postmortem to ascertain the exact cause of her death, he said.
A possibility of her being killed elsewhere and dumped here could not be ruled out as the spot from where the body was recovered is close to Delhi-UP border, the SHO said.
In a separate incident, one Manoj Kumar Gupta (30), a native of Gorakhpur, was allegedly knocked down by some unidentified vehicle last night near Lal Quan under Kavinagar police station here, police said.
Injured was rushed to district hospital by police where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.
The body has been sent for postmortem, they said.
