The body of a woman was exhumed here in connection with a murder investigation, police said.
According to police, the woman was allegedly murdered in Panchkula in Haryana and her body was exhumed last evening following a request from Haryana police who wanted to hold a post-mortem as part of their probe.
She had been given a burial here earlier this year on January 21.
There was opposition to the exhumation from the members of a particular community who held a demonstration here even as police said they were keeping a watch on the situation.
