Body of a 27-year-old pregnant woman, buried two days ago, was today found lying outside her grave, apparently exhumed by some miscreants, at Talheta village in Bhojpur area here, police said.
Shama Parveen, wife of Riyazuddin was buried on October 21 October.She was three-month pregnant. This morning some passersby informed the villagers that the body of Parveen is lying outside of her grave in a naked position, Superintendent of Police, Rural, Rakesh Pandey said.
Soon family members and villagers assembled at the spot and police was also called, the SP said.
"We can't rule out the possibility that some miscreants exhumed the body for sexual purpose or for tantric rituals," Pandey said.
However, he added, that no such relevant evidence was found near the dead body in graveyard.
The dead body has been sent to post-mortem and reports are awaited to further probe the matter, Pandey said.
