The body of a 53-year-old woman with strangulation marks has been found at her house in southwest Delhi's Dwarka area, police said today.

The deceased, Meeta Jha was staying with her son. Her daughter stays in London, said a senior police officer.

The daughter called the police from London and told them that her mother had not been responding to phone calls. She alleged that her brother had done something to their mother, he said.

The body was found in the house which was locked from outside on February 27, police said.

The woman was allegedly killed on February 24 and her body had started decaying, they said.

In the CCTV footage procured from near the house, the deceased's son was seen exiting the building on February 24 and locking the house, the officer said.

Police is on the lookout for Meeta's son.

Sources claimed that he was a drug addict and could have killed his mother since she did not approve of his lifestyle.
