Body of an unidentified young girl, suspected to have been murdered has been found near here, police said today.
The 22-year-old victim is suspected to have been strangulated to death by some unidentified miscreants, who later threw her body, they said.
The body was found yesterday, sustaining injuries at the throat, they said.
Meanwhile, in another case, an eight-year-old girl has been allegedly raped by a youth at Kairana town in the neighbouring Shamli district, police said.
The incident took place yesterday when the girl was playing and was later picked up by an accused Ankur, who took her to a nearby place and raped her.
The accused was caught and beaten up later by irate people before being handed over to police, which has registered a case against him.
The accused has been arrested and the victim has been sent for medical examination, police said.
