Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar and Ranveer Singh revisited their special moments with their moms by sharing some old, candid pictures to mark the International Mother's Day.

The celebrities took to Twitter to show their love for their mothers.

"To my #FirstFriend wishing you #HappyMothersDay! Life begins & ends with you. Thank you for being you Mom," Akshay tweeted alongside an old photo of himself seated next to his mother at a function.

Madhuri Dixi-Nene posted a collage of pictures of a younger self with her mother.

"Happy Mother's Day to my mom who has been my biggest inspiration!! To all the moms, thanks for all that you do for us!" she captioned the collage.

"My world then. My world now. Happy Mother's Day to my creator, mentor, lighthouse," wrote Nimrat Kaur. She captioned it with a picture of a baby Nimrat in the arms of her mother in a garden.

She posted a picture, showing her filmmaker mother Soni Razdan posing with a toddler Alia.
