Bollywood remembers beloved Mr Spock

Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Randeep Hooda and others have paid homage to Hollywood actor Leonard Nimoy, who entertained the audience with his memorable role of Mr Spock (rpt) Mr Spock on 'Star Trek'.

Nimoy died aged 83 due to pulmonary disease. The actor enjoyed an illustrious innings as cerebral science officer Mr Spock on 'Star Treck' TV series and films.

The stars here took to Twitter to express their grief over his loss.

"The eyebrows...The ears...The Vulcan...Just got beamed up for good...& leaves behind a void. RIP Mr Nimoy," tweeted Shah Rukh.

Madhuri wrote, "RIP My favorite character "Spock" from Star Trek. He "Lived long and prospered". Thank you for entertaining us!"
 

"RIP The Real Nimoy Yoy made Sunday mornings something to look forward to #Spock #StarTrek #Leonard Nimoy child in me weeps," Randeep said.

Director Shekhar Kapur, while paying tribute to the star, said he grew up on his on-screen character.

"As a generation that grew up on Star Trek, I imagined Dr Spock did not have human frailties like mortality. RIP Leonard Nimoy," he wrote.

Actress Lisa Ray tweeted, "Live long and prosper. Leonard Nimoy."

"RIP Leonard Nimoy Did you know Leonard Nimoy was the only member of the original cast to reprise his role in the 2009 Star Trek reboot?" Shirish Kunder asked.

'Fanaa' director Kunal Kohli said, "Leonard Nimoy #Mr Spock RIP Finest Vulcan we came across.
