Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta and Anupam Kher wished their fans a Happy Dussehra.
The celebrities took to Twitter to appeal everyone to retain the spirit of the festival and choose good over evil.
"Vijay dashmi ki anek anek shubhkamanayein aur badhai (Wish you a Happy Vijay Dashmi)..Happy Dushehra !!" Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan tweeted.
Actor Anupam Kher wished for love and peace for all on the occasion. "Happy Dusshera to All. Love, Peace, Happiness & Harmony," he said.
Actor Sidharth Malhotra, while reminiscing Dussehra celebrations in Delhi, said he misses being in the city on the festival.
"Happy Dussehra guys....Miss being in Delhi for this festival and going to see firecrackers and Ravan effigy being burned, may be next time," he said.
His 'Ek Villain' co-star Shraddha Kapoor wrote, "Choose good over evil. Happy Dussehra!"
"Ego, cruelty, lust, greed, anger, jealousy, injustice, selfishness, conceit and attachment are all vanquished by Durga Shakti. Happy Dussehra," actress Dia Mirza posted on her Twitter page.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, Actress Nimrat Kaur, Music composer Shekhar Ravijiani, Riteish Deshmukh, Sophie Choudry and others also wished for happiness and prosperity on the auspicious occasion.
