Bom threating call turns to be hoax

An anonmymous telephone call threatening that bombs would explode at the District Collector's office turned out to be a hoax after officials conducted a search in the premises.

The call was received by Thenpakam police control room at 8.3 am stating that several bombs would explode and 15 persons had been deputed for the planting bombs.

The Police tightened security and also pressed into service sniffer dogs and bomb detectors. But no bombs could be detected.
