Actor Boman Irani is busy these days writing a script and says he is not taking up any new film immediately.

Boman, who was in the city to participate in an event, however, will not say if he has directorial ambition.

"It is never too late to start. I am not taking up a project for coming six months unless the subject and the script fascinate me absoluely," the '"3 Idiots" actor told reporters on the sidelines of the event last night.

Boman, whose birthday falls today, said he did not have any birthday resolutions this year.

"No birthday resolutions. It will be a busy usual day for me," he said.

Boman, who shot to fame in the 2003 film "Munnabhai MBBS", recalled how he was initially reluctant to take up the role, but was persuaded by director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

He said that actors like SRK, Tabu and Kajol did not want to be part of the film and then Sanjay Dutt was roped in to do a student's role.

"Initially the film did not do too well for four days and then it picked up momentum and became a big, big hit. We were all happy," he recalled at the session organised by INFOCOM 2016'.
