At least two persons were killed and another injured today in two separate blasts in Pakistan's restive northwestern tribal region near Afghan border.
The first explosion triggered by a planted mine took place in Baezai tehsil of Mohmand Agency in which a paramilitary official and a passerby were killed.
In a separate incident, a Frontier Corps Lieutenant Colonel was severely injured in a roadside bomb blast at the same agency, officials said, adding that there were reports of other personnel getting injured in the explosion.
The area was cordoned off by the security forces who launched an investigation to nab the culprits.
