Top seed Mahesh Mangaonkar lived up to his billing, outplaying Arun Kumar in a second round match of the 43rd Maharashtra State Men's squash tournament, which started here today.
Arun Kumar of Andhra Pradesh was no match to Mangaonkar, currently India No. 3, who marched his way to an 11-0, 11-2, 11-4 victory.
Unseeded Aryaman Jaising put up a strong performance to overpower Divit Poojary with 11-3, 11-2, 11-6 margin.
Aryaman will meet Mangaonkar in the 3rd round.
In another match, Chennai's Vijay Kumar dropped only five points on his way to an 11-3, 11-1, 11-1 victory over Amarendu Srivastava.
Meanwhile, 16-year-old Goa's Yash Fadte sailed to the third round defeating Krish Shah by a comfortable 11-3, 11-1, 11-6 scoreline.
