Two unidentified persons hurled bombs on the house of a contractor at Jaraka bazar in Odisha's district, police said today.

Though no one was injured in the attack yesterday, the explosion panicked residents in Kumari colony locality where contractor Amar Mohanty (50) lived, they said.

Mohanty said he was startled to hear loud explosions in court yard of his building.

Police suspected the bombs were probably hurled by his business rivals.

"Our preliminary investigation suggests that two unidentified men with their faces covered had come on a motorcycle and fled after lobbing two bombs at the house", said a senior police officer.
