A person was arrested and 36 pouches of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession in the outskirts of Jammu city, a police officer said today.
The accused, Surjit Singh, was yesterday intercepted and during his search, 36 pouches of illicit liquor was recovered in Pargwal area here, he said.
The accused was immediately arrested and booked under various sections of the Jammu and Kashmir Excise Act, he said, adding, investigations have been initiated in this connection.
